The coil connection and additional power connectors are 1/4" Quick Connect (QC) terminals. **Q: This contactor makes a high-pitched noise when energized - not very loud, but doesn't seem right. Is this normal?** A: I would get a voltmeter and make sure that the proper amount of electricity is passing through it sometimes coils will make a high pitch sound until they break and believe it or not but just check in with the meter before I would get everybody else involved good luck **Q: which side is common and which side is hot for the 24v?** A: There is no common (white) wire for 220V wiring. Both are black. I used my 2-pole 240Amp 24 V coil contactor for my heat pump and 2 black wires come from the power source and go to the bottom two poles. In the future if you are simply replacing your new with an old contactor, its a good idea to always take a photo of the wiring before you disconnect the old one, so you can easily put all the wires back the same way. **Q: Is this a replacement for a tyco or lennox 20394902 contactor spst,n.o.,24 volt coil** A: If you analyze and compare those contactors, you can say yes it is a replacement. Remember that the quality of the product has a weight in a period of time. With the price of one Tyco you can buy two Packards, but you can see the real difference in the future. It is the equivalent to tell you if this product is the replacement for a Siemens contactor 24 V 40 amps The answer it will be yes too, but the difference of the price is astronomical huge. The final decision depends if you want to change that contactor very often and you will change it, if you have to paid for change the contactor I recommend you to buy a good contactor. The conclusion is technically, yes it is the replacement, remember to check to amps that you require. ## Frequently Bought Together - Packard C240A Packard Contactor 2 Pole 40 Amps 24 Coil Voltage - VEXUNGA 10uF 370/440VAC 50/60Hz CBB65 CBB65A Oval Run Start Capacitor 10 MFD 370V/440V Air Conditioner Capacitors for AC Unit Fan Motor Start or Pool Pump or Air Condenser Straight Cool - Packard Contactor C130A 1 Pole 30 Amps 24 Coil Voltage 4.5 Out of 5 Stars 44 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/368814079-packard-york-40-amp-2-pole-24v-coil-fasco-replacement](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/368814079-packard-york-40-amp-2-pole-24v-coil-fasco-replacement) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
