## Description

DEWALT DW4523 4-1/2-Inch by 1/4-Inch by 5/8-Inch General Purpose Metal Grinding Wheel

Review: Aggressive material remover - DEWALT general purpose grinding wheels are my go-to abrasive discs for angle grinders! The high concentration of aluminum oxide grain provides an incredibly aggressive bite for weld blending, deburring rough edges, and beveling heavy steel plate. The three full sheets of fiberglass mesh reinforcement give complete confidence when putting down heavy pressure without worry of chipping or wheel disintegration. It runs balanced with minimal vibration, wears down evenly, and lasts noticeably longer than cheaper off-brand wheels. A dependable staple for fabrication shop or garage work!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is it safe to grind mortar off of cinder blocks with this grinding wheel?**
A: This grinding wheel is for metal. It will clog too fast to do you any good. They have masonry wheels that will cut and grind bricks to concrete.

**Q: Will this work with metabo?**
A: Hello, the DW4523 has a 5/8-11 in arbor and 4-1/2 in in diameter blade.

**Q: Does this grinding wheel screw on the grinders arbor**
A: They do screw onto the grinder's shaft, you have to remove the retainers (washers) that came with the grinder, but once your done and switch back they are simply just placed back on in the order you took them off. On another note; the dewalt wheels last much longer than other brands, I was buying the others on sale only to discover these last longer and are much better.

**Q: Can this cut through hardened steel? Have to get a bell U-lock off my bikes because I lost the keys..**
A: It cuts through steel beer kegs, and takes a little effort, but does a good job. You may need to do it a bit at a time and let the wheel cool down between cutting sessions.
