## Description

Product Description The JawStand XP from Rockwell is your little helper with the strong grip. You don’t need to call down a family member or ask someone else on the job site to help you hold a heavy project in place while you fasten it. The JawStand XP raises 25”-43”, and then allows for 2 extra inches of fine adjustments so you can line up screw holes or just put the project right where it needs to be. (XP stands for eXact Positioning.) It holds up to 220 lbs, and it won’t get tired or complain about how heavy the load is. It has a max clamping width of 1-3/4”. And it’s compact, easy to store, and only weighs 15 lbs, so you can throw it in the trunk and take it everywhere. There are so many uses for the JawStand: strap in a standard door; it’s the ultimate tool for working on bicycles (just flip them over and clamp in the top tube and have access to everything at the height you need); load up a 2x4 and use it to hold crown molding in place. The JawStand doesn’t use rollers like other support stands, which can misdirect the project—The low friction surface provides a smooth release when you’re ready to place the project. Whether you’re a serious DIY-er, a professional woodworker, or a handyman, the JawStand is the perfect partner for one-person jobs that require a second pair of hands. From the Manufacturer The Rockwell RK9034 Jaw Stand XP is a versatile, portable work stand designed to save you time and hassle. The XP stands for exact positioning when fine tuning the perfect level or clamping for more security. The tripod set up allows for a level and more sturdy work area. The non-marring feet protect your work and prevent damage to both your project and floor. The RK9034 improves the concept of the traditional roller stand, and adds extra features to create a work support stand. The low-friction slides on the top of the stand allow work to pass over it in a straight path. The head bevels a full 90-Degrees. Built into the tilting head is a work clamp, capable of holding material up to 1-3/4-Inches wide. The Jaw stand is perfect for holding a door in place for hanging, or using a 2 by 4 brace to support crown molding while hanging it. The Jaw Stand XP acts as a second set of hands, and never needs to take a break

Review: Like having an extra person - VERY sturdy, easy setup and breakdown, very quality tool that seems will last a very very long time with continuous usage, as should be expected from a construction tool. I spend a lot of money on quality brand tools since they are the lifeline of my livelihood. I work in construction and need tools that can take a beating and hold up to the strenuous jobs they are used for. This Jaw horse stand does exaclty that, with many versatile uses, and definitely makes my one man jobs much easier. I actually bought 2 and use them in replace of standard saw horses. Fully adjustable, so alot of time i use only 1, but nice having 2 when applicable. I use them for various means like, extra support when cutting large lumber or moulding on my table and miter saw. Saw horses as mentioned. Extra support to hold lumber in place when i need another hand to hold one end, while I secure the opposing end. Being able to fully adjust height and angles of my support boards makes doing projects with one person so much easier.
Review: Best stand out there! - Love these stands. They are extremely easy to use and are very versatile. Great for the money I own 2 of them and they have hel up well the abuse of the jobsite.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Hi,
Does anyone know what the difference is between this item and the non-XP RK9033?
Thanks.**
A: Yes, the difference is the the 98034 has the handy little hand crank that makes it easier to adjust. The 9033 doesn not have the hand crank on the vertical tube.

**Q: Can caster wheels be added to the feet ?**
A: The feet already have holes in them where casters can be bolted. I would use caution because it might throw off the balance when all casters are facing the same way. I would also check with the manufacturer to get their opinion . Some casters come with a threaded bolt on top where a not can be fastened.

**Q: Is it able to raise or lower the clamping head by the crank while it is under load and at the 200 lb capacity?**
A: I do not own this product, however I copied this information from the Rockwell website. Note the last line item.

Versatile work support stand: ideal for power tool infeed/outfeed material support
Built-in clamp securely holds items up to 1-3/4” wide
Cam-lever makes for fast clamping action
Perfect for supporting molding, cabinets and similar items for installation
Supports a maximum load of 220 lbs
--------> Even under load, head can be adjusted 2" using Exact Positioning handle

**Q: I want yo use this stand like a sawhorse, so if i lay a plywood sheet on top can I grab it with a F-style clamp from its edge and the jaws...?**
A: To use as a sawhorse I simply lay a short piece of 2x4 36" long or so, clamp it in the jaws, it won't go anywhere. Then you can clamp plywood to the 2x4.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The helper I needed
*by B***R on February 1, 2017*

This item has been on my wish list for over two years. Of course, like other have mentioned, I should have gotten it sooner but ....... Before purchasing items, I like to look at what other people think of it. I start by reading from the low side, one star, to the four stars because there is more information in these reviews. But there were more reviews on the Rockwell Jaw Stand that just seemed to me that these folks don't know how to use tools in general. At the time I got this Jaw Stand, Amazon was listing it at $69.95. They also listed the same item, and though Prime, for $64.95. $5 cheaper. It was in their warehouse special and, only one left. They listed it as new, with only the box being slightly damaged. Being Amazon, I ordered it. It came, box was slightly damaged with a lot of extra tape, but I wasn't worried. Opened it up to find a different color - Green. SO WHAT. It was new and appeared nothing was missing with absolutely no scratches. When I attempted to put the long tube into the base of the unit, it would not go. Yes the knob was not tightened and in looking down the insertion area, there was a metal clamp that seemed to be attached to the protruding bolt but somehow interfering with the opening. I removed the knob totally, reverse it (otherwise the nut would only come though the knob) and pushed in on the knob which now moved this clamping mechanism. The shaft went right in. Reversed the knob again and all is well in JawStandville. Be aware that the nut can and will fall out of the knob. I proceeded to finally set up the rest of the unit. After opening the legs fully, a little stiff but, I'd rather have firm than sloppy. I checked the level on top, It worked. Right dead on - unreal. I then pulled on the top to increase the height, again a little tight but I liked that as well. I noticed these measurement markings on the post. Hmmmmm I said to myself, could these be a height measurement? So I measured from the top of the unit to the floor and it was 1 1\4 inches off. Did not like that. So I finally broke down and ...... read the book. Lol. Yes this was the macro adjustment markings indicating the floor to the top of the slider guides but, alas, this was not to be. Not a deal breaker. I proceeded to the angle top to test the strength of the knob and it held. So now I played with the cranking knob (they call this the 'precise adjustment') and I love it. Came out to 22 turns per inch. Sure it takes a long time, but it is call the precise adjustment (not the 'micro' as other reviewers mentioned) and the bottom is call the macro height adjustment. Makes sense to me. Other reviewers were complaining a lot about the clamp. First of all this is a Stand. You want a clamp, get the Jaw Horse. That's a real clamp. And as far as what fits in it, well I got a 1 by (that's 3\4 by whatever, mine was 4) and tried to clamp it. It worked folks. Yes you have to turn the knob all the way in but ..... I then used an old 2 X 4 which measured 1 3\4 (not the typical 1 1\2) by 3 1\2 and that also fit. Clamping down on both held quite well for both boards. Thinking of getting those rollers to screw onto the 2 X 4 to use as a roller top like another reviewer mentioned. Yes the feet set up wide and get in the way, better then falling over. They do not interfere with clamping and hanging a door. The added rubber feet also help make this unit stable. So even though the specs state 29 to 43 inch height adjustability, mine is 30 to 44 1\4. Lol. Not bad. I'm short anyway. Anyone who needs an extra set of hands to help hold something while doing work around the house, your shop or even on the job, get this devise. I wanted this to aid in hanging doors and help hold wall cabinets and have that ability to adjust it to your exact final position and this does it all. And being green, it does not look like a dewalt or stanley tool, lol Thanks for your time, enjoy
