It is backwards compatible so it works in a USB 2.0 Port as well. **Q: Does it have a LED light?** A: no it does not have a light **Q: You cannot utilize USB 3.1 without a modern mobo and processor, huh?** A: Backward compatible to 2.0, but if you want the 3.1 speeds then yes you have to have the supporting infrastructure. **Q: For read it says up to 130mb/s but for write it says up to 15x faster than standard usb 2.0 drives, how fast is that exactly in mb/s?** A: I tested with CrystalDiskMark and it was about 22MB/s. Mine is the 32GB model so the 64GB model will probably be faster.
