The case it metal though - so I'd imagine it could get quite warm, but with the heatsink stickers ought to be ok. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, but could have been great *by W***R on 5 July 2023* I paid £16.99 for this m.2 NVME SSD enclosure, which is a good price. The enclosure itself is well constructed, maybe slightly wider than it needs to be, but overall feels like good quality. I was also glad to have two USB cables; USB-A to USB-C and USB-C to USB-C, rather than the little USB-A to C adapter that comes with similar devices. Opening the enclosure and installing the m.2 SSD is toolless, which is nice. What's not so nice is that this device comes with two small thermal pads (enough to cover a full length '2280' drive) but the pads are too thin to contact the metal enclosure, and do absolutely nothing for cooling. For general use this may not be a massive issue, but transferring larger files will be slow when the thermal protection kicks in. I stacked both thermal pads together on top of the hottest part of my m.2 SSD (the controller) which helps a little. Pros: - build quality - speed - price - separate USB cables Cons: - Ineffective cooling At less than 17 pounds, I would still recommend this for regular use.
