My jungle brain duly got itself hooked seeing my character's levels tick upwards; my stubborn pride pushed me to challenge foes well above my standing, over and over like a pre-steroid Steve Rogers; and yes, my wrists succumbed to carpel tunnel syndrome. All sacrifices I found myself happy to lay at the feet of the coruscating Erdtree. Game of the year, definitely. And as a hitherto souls virgin with no prior bias, I’d say that’s high praise.
