Will this fit? The measurements say its 3.92 inches wide and idk know how flexible the rubber seal is?** A: My floor drain opening(Cast Iron)is the same size as yours(3.75" inside Diameter). I too had the same question/concern. Well I had a sewer backup and while my plumber was there rodding out my sewer main line I asked him about this. He took the valve and pounded it down into place and told me "tight is right". He then screwed it in til the screws were all snugged up. He told me you want these to be a tight fit. I said okee dokee. I again had a backup later on and this valve saved my basement from flooding. I am so glad I bought this and let my plumber install it. I will buy another one and put it on the shelf in case I ever need to install another one. **Q: Has anyone had problems with the screws rusting or the spring?** A: Not at all **Q: Does this product work horizontaly in horizontal pipe?** A: No **Q: Will the rubber components hold up to the furnace condensate, which contains acid, and is currently being discharged to my floor drain?** A: The rubber will probably be fine, just add some silicone grease. The issue I always have when I use a device like this on my furnace drain, is the metal components rusting or the brass corroding.
