Its leather bound with sturdy pages that are definitely thicker than the standard book pages. Its an easy read, though you may need a dictionary on some words commonly used way back when but not today. The story is a classic much loved story. Many movies follow it fairly closely with embellishments. I found the story to be much better than the movies. Its very fast paced short novel, the scenes left out of or rewritten by movies are far superior to anything Hollywood can produce. I will be reading this book every year along with the movies. Its a library must have.
