Better will be when you use a very fine toothed blade, a fine plywood blade will do. Another good way will be to use a 3/8" piece of plywood together with the thin aluminum, keeping the aluminum on the bottom, or sandwich the aluminum between two pieces of plywood. This will definitely fit the Craftsman Bolt-On. They are both made by Black & Decker, with the Craftsman one being re-branded. Every component is interchangeable, including batteries and attachments. **Q: Will this cut to a specific and uniform depth (for example, can you set it to cut 1/2" on cement backer board that is attached to a wall?)** A: No, you cannot set the cutting depth. It is fixed. The maximum cut depth is 3/4" which means it will cut finished 1" boards.
