The rated current is equal to the rate of power divided by voltage 12V. **Q: Why is there a 3 way switch for this?** A: one is for turning off the motor and the other two are for forward and reverse. **Q: Can it be used with arduino to control motor speed and direction?** A: I can't imagine why not as long as the Arduino project meets the volt and amp capacities of the Controller. **Q: Lemon? Two right most terminals wired to 20V battery but the voltage across the two left most terminals always 20V no matter the % of pot adjustment.** A: unplug the pot and connect a meter to center leg and either side legs and check ohms clime as you turn the knob. Make sure all connections are correct.
