It keeps everything organized, allows things to dry, and it's easy to empty the drain if needed. However, I find I rarely need to empty the bottom tray because everything gets enough circulation to air dry and prevent "gunk" buildup. It looks very tidy on the counter. I prefer the white one because it's easier to keep clean. I have the stainless steel one as well, but found I needed to clean it more often.
