Review: Works great for old printing plates - One of the most frustrating things about flexographic printing plates is that the adhesive loses strength over time no matter how careful you are. In our business, we add customer logos to our products so we have to cycle through printing plates quite often. In the past, when the adhesion would begin to lessen, we would use masking tape on the edges until there was no adhesion left and then buy new plates. This is frustrating as the plates can be quite expensive. More frustrating is that the plates aren't worn enough to warrant a replacement. After doing some searching, I found this adhesive on desertcart. I figured it couldn't hurt to give it a shot and see if I could restore the plates adhesive so the plates would have a longer life. The purchase was very worthwhile! It bonded very well with the printing plate and excellent with aluminum roller. Even better is that it didn't peel off on the roller. I am incredibly satisfied and excited that we could save $1000 or more each year by simply reapplying a $3 sheet every few cycles. I definitely recommend it for general use coder printing!

**Q: what is the best way to remove this adhesive have been using for a while and need to change pei sheets but it does not seem to let go?**
A: The best way to remove the adhesion is to use an adhesive remover such as 3M 08987, which comes as a spray can. Let the adhesive remover soak in for a few coats. It breaks down the adhesive. Then you can easily scrape up the broken down adhesive with a hard flat surface such as a plastic credit card.

**Q: can I use this to apply to the backside of a patch, cut out the edges and then attach the patch to a garment?**
A: Don't think it will work on fabrics

**Q: Is this safe to laser cut? If so, are the edges of the transfer paper easy to peel off?**
A: Not sure about laser cutting. Peeling it off was tricky. Needs to be done carefully. It worked great, however.

**Q: Is the adhesive crystal clear?**
A: The adhesive is clear, but once you apply it, it is almost impossible for the adhesive to remain crystal clear unless you are using a machine roller for application.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice flat sheets, work great. Super sticky -- have a plan!

Exactly as described.. sheets of genuine 3M material. You must have a plan going in, and maybe some scrap to practice on. This stuff grips hard, stretches and won't let go. If you make one mistake, you get a bubble or doubled-over lump. Smaller stuff is easy, but if you're doing a full 12x12, really think about how it's going to go down -- and don't change course. You can float it with soapy water or RapidTak a little, but it's still grippy. Let it dry completely before removing the backing, as wet backing might lift the adhesive and make lumps. Use a roller.
