Once you have scrambled the numbers the code cannot be changed. Also if the unit is on the wheel it would be almost impossible to access the screw and code set switch. **Q: the instructions on here suggest you have to set 5 codes- is that correct ?** A: No. Just add a code of your choice and set it. It feels and looks solid. A determined thief might be able to cut through it with an angle grinder or similar but not without a lot of effort and noise. The combination lock avoids the problem of losing keys. If your wheel has soft plastics you will need to be careful with this, especially the combination lock section which has some sharp edges. A microfibre cloth to protect does the trick. Also the restraining bar can cause black marks on the roof fabric so a small plastic bag over the end would be a wise precaution.
