Really good ring light for the money!
I'm always leery of inexpensive products like this because we've all experienced "you get what you pay for" and often the thing stops working in just a few months. This review is being written just a few weeks after purchase, so if something happens later and the light loses its mind and stops working I'll update. BUT as of right now, I am really happy with it.Controls and BrightnessThe control is a single switch on the cord, which offers SEVEN levels of brightness, and FIVE color options from very warm light to very cool. The CordThe cord is quite long (although you can see I just have it plugged into my laptop so I haven't unwrapped the majority of the cord. However you can also unwrap the cord and plug into a wall if you're out of USB ports or if you need it for lighting phone videos from the side.SizeIt is larger in diameter than I imagined, which is kind of cool. It's about 4" across, and the lighted part is almost an inch wide. You can see the size in relation to my 13" MacBook in the photo.ClampThe clamp itself is impressively heavy duty. It's about 2.5 inches tall and the spring is TIGHT. I was almost afraid to clamp it to the top edge of my laptop because I was concerned it might break the glass of my screen. Note that it has a soft felt material on the inside of the clamp where it touches the laptop screen.OverallIn a nutshell, this is my favorite ring light. Note that it's not appropriate for PHONES as a selfie light because the clamp is large and it's too big. But you could plug it in and clamp it onto something else if you wanted to use it for selfies.

Bright light, great for video chats and for filming projects for my ASL classes in college...
This is an excellent solution for poor lighting on video chats. The clip is sturdy and strong enough to hold itself onto the laptop screen, just to the side of the webcam and the light is adjustable in every direction to enable lighting other areas or at different angles. After adjusting angles, the screw that holds it in place where you select never slips. The cable is long enough for all kinds of things and the multi-function button is on the cable so you can't lose it or anything. There are two types of light available, which is useful as white light can clash with ambient yellow light on camera making you look sickly or pale. The brightness is also adjustable using the multifunction buttons so you can adjust to what you need based on where you are.Another valuable point, for me anyway, is that the ring-light is light-weight and easy to pack with you places. I bring mine to school with me often so that I'm able to make videos of myself signing in ASL for my classes at school (I'm majoring in ASL Interpreting right now) and the light makes my signs much more visible on camera - especially the details of fingerspelling. As an entry-level ring light, I'm very happy with my purchase and highly recommend for anyone who wants to look more natural and better-lit in their video chats, vlog or other kind of video recordings.

Light is harsh when using the clip on a laptop/Be careful to position it well
I use this for video conferences. It has many settings but the light is a little harsh for my taste when clipped to a laptop. I removed the light from the clip and attached it to a table top tripod. Better illumination with this setup.

Surprisingly Good!
I do video calls for work from my home office pretty much all day and noticed that in the early morning or evening hours, my image was coming across pretty dark. Went for the "Amazon Choice" ring light to improve it and am really pleased. Easy to clip. on to my monitor, powered by USB and has a few different settings to adjust the light. At $19.99, a pretty cost effective solution and it's definitely improved the quality of my video image.

It's ok.
I gave this 5 stars because it does work as ir should, but wasn't quite as big as I'd like it to, however, that was my mistake for not looking at the specs.Nice piece of gear.
