This flashlight is waterproof. I would take it diving. I have one mounted on the splashboard of my Grand Canyon dory, so it gets soaked at every rapid but it's handy and works well when wet. **Q: What's the difference between this one and the Dorcy 41-2510?** A: The 2521 unit emits 150 lumens, vs. only 55 for the 2510. **Q: Did they last the test of time?** A: Have had mine for just over 2 years but it only gets minor use. That being said it has been dropped multiple times and keeps working. Still on my first set of batteries so hope that helps.
