The 5.5" (book size) needs to be doubled + the spine thickness. If the spine is 1", then this roll of 10 yards would allow you to cover approximately (@12" per book) 30 books. **Q: I’m looking for something to cover the tops of my books to keep them dust free. Will this work? I guess there’s no such thing as a cover for the top.** A: I don't know of a product that covers the tops of the books.
