Any Positive and negative markings on these?

No Markings. These are for low voltage landscape lighting that uses AC current, No polarity is necessary. If you are using these for DC current connections, I would remove one of the caps and paint it Red or White (whatever) to keep it straight.

what is the water rating?

All I see is water proof. Tight connection, I have used outside above ground with no problems.

Anyone use these successfully with 10 gauge stranded (10/2) landscape wire?

10 gauge is considered overkill for 12v landscape lighting. 12 gauge has always been about as big as anyone uses especially since the new LED lights draw only a small percentage of the current that the old halogen lights did. I went with 12 gauge wire on my system. To answer your question I think 10 gauge would work with these but would be a little more difficult to work with because of the size. These connectors are designed for 16-14-12 gauge which is what’s normally used.

Can these fittings be buried?

As with most low voltage lighting you can bury the cables Recommend you coat the connection’s with a silicone grease to prevent corrosion
