I have attempted to read it many times over the years and always failed because of the difficult language, lack of practical real-world examples, and unexplained principles which only left me feeling confused.Earlier this year I heard about this new edition - unlike the FIP version which was edited many times with each edit based on only the previous version, this was taken DIRECTLY from Helen Schucman's handwritten notes and edited with great care and attention for a world which is quite different to the one when the FIP edition was published. I downloaded the Kindle edition, and after reading the first few chapters, along with the detailed footnotes and 'cameo' essays (in the back of the book), it all suddenly started to make sense. It became a practical everyday guide, rather than an unintelligible intellectual exercise. In short, it changed everything. I ordered the hardback within a few days and have used it every day since. It is worth every penny, despite the fairly hefty price!If you buy this book, you can go the circleofa.org website and enter your purchase details to get an email which includes a PDF/printable reading schedule and various supporting videos. The reading schedule is superb, breaking the Text, along with the relevant cameo essays, into daily manageable sections (over 365 days) which guide you through the curriculum as it was intended. I really appreciate how much love and effort has gone into this edition, which I believe was over a decade in the making.There is also a podcast which accompanies this edition - [edited to update name] Exploring A Course in Miracle, and is hosted by Emily Bennington and Robert Perry (the lead editor of this edition). It's a fantastic resource for any student of the Course, and is based on this edition and a range of incredible articles by Robert and the Circle of Atonement. You can find that on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, Google, and probably other places too. Definitely worth a listen! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ a great edition *by A***S on 14 September 2024* I love this edition, which I only found out about recently, it has the full text based on Helen's handwritten notes; the text in this book is often easier to understand without Helen's quite zealous editing that she did later, plus there are topics included which she completely edited out. Therevare also some fascinating articles included. This is now my go-to edition but it is a big book and not portable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very usable split page text with notes and bible verse references paperback edition - recommend! *by P***D on 5 March 2022* The bottom of each page notes, further explanations and frequent biblical verse references and much more make this complete and annotated edition in paperback the go to version of A Course in Miracles for me. It is about a third larger than the standard Course and I think is quite nice for a paperback. Obviously reminiscent of a study bible it has thin but good quality pages but with decent sized text and a textured and gold lettered cover. Another £10 or so more than the standard edition of the Course for this 2021 paperback but well worth it I would say having swapped halfway through from the regular version. The on page text notes and biblical verse references etc definitely adds clarity and makes the Course much easier to work through the daily lessons in the Workbook than the regular edition.
