The soft silicone reduces reverberation between panel and frame and road noise for optimal sound quality. The front ring is foldable to guide the sound wave into the vehicle cabin.
- The egg crate foam helps create a barrier between the speaker and the metal door, it improves the sound by preventing sound wave from bouncing.
- Our baffle provides protection against falling water for the speaker when it is unfolded. The bottom half can be folded or cut twice for easy adjustment to achieve the correct mounting depth so that the speaker's sound performance does not change. A: Not sure but most of the time the speaker basket remains the same from a 6.5 to a 6.75

**Q: Will this work in 2012 Kia Optima?**
A: They make them for many different size speakers. Find out what speaker size you have, and buy accordingly. They are very customizable.... Yes

**Q: Will this benefit component speakers?**
A: They keep water off of the speaker in the event of rain or a car wash. If you’re sure that no water will ever get on them, then don’t bother. Otherwise, they’re cheap insurance.

**Q: Will this help with harshness and shrill treble ?**
A: It will help give resonance to your speakers. Maybe look at adjusting your equalizer and cutting some highs out. I have these on all four of my 6.5” mid components and they’re fantastic..
