Great sound, low price, well made. *by H***E on February 20, 2019* I've been a drummer for decades. I have multiple drum sets and did it for a living in my younger days. Now I play for my enjoyment and playing out gives me spare toy money. Recently we started playing some different music in the band I'm in, which lead me to cajon's and other hand drums. The Pearl Compact Conga is another cool drum by the way. And way easier to transport than a full size one when your already lugging around a drum set. But that's a different sound, harder to learn to play, and way more money. So I looked around and tried many different ones. The sounds I get from this one are really nice and the price just can't be beat. I like the adjustable guitar string type snare features so I can adjust it to the sound I want. And it has a deep bass sound as well. It's very light, but seems to be well constructed as I'm 6'1" and 250 lbs and it's holding me up just fine. The box is finished well and not rough corners and edges as you might expect.
