It has two halves, connected with a strong elastic band which is attached to the ring. The case does not affect the opening or closing of the phone, and it has a nice smooth feel to it.I have enjoyed using the case so far, the addition of the ring makes it feel a little more secure when I'm holding it. It does not affect wireless charging at all, especially since I usually charge the phone with it closed, so only the lower half is touching the charger anyway.No complaints so far, as this feel nice, and seems like it would offer some protection in the case of a fall. I also like having a case on any phone that has the fingerprint reader on the side, because the gap there in the case makes it easier to find where the fingerprint reader is with my thumb. The case also sticks out past the cameras, so if you put the phone down on a flat surface with the cameras facing down the lenses won't touch the surface.I will update this review if I encounter any problems with durability over time, as that is one of the most important things about a case like this.(Note – The text on this page says the case is clear, this is not the clear version, this is the Navy colored version. They just used the same text from the clear case listing. I was willing to spend $100 for the right case, the Flip is so slippery! I wasn't sure I'd like the ring(whish is removable), but I love it too. Navy Blue is a rate color and since it's made by Samsung, it fits to perfection! High quality silicone ensures a great grip as well as a very nice look. Doesn't cheapen your $1000 phone and since it's silicone, it stays put, even sitting on the console in the Challenger.Installation took 20 seconds!
