I hesitated to purchase this -it's a one time use sort of thing and I didn't have ready access to rent one close to me. It worked perfectly for me with easy installation, locking the camshaft snugly and solidly. I did find instructions lacking but googling and youtube can help you with this. After changing the timing chain and guides, removing the locking tool was easy, and the engine started up with no problem, and runs very sweetly. If you are an enthusiastic and careful amateur mechanic with limited financial resources, this tool is great value and will pay for itself the very first time you use it.
