We have an older home and have used 1500 watt electric space heaters for years, no problem heating rooms. I kept seeing the Envi heater ads on social media, making these look incredible, very safe, efficient and could even help to lower our electric bill. I went all in and purchased three, two of the 500 watt for two approximately 10 x 10 upstairs bedrooms, and one 1000 watt for an approximately 12x 12 downstairs bedroom. Installation was pretty easy, I installed them when our outside temperature was in the forties. One upstairs bedroom seemed to heat the room well, the other, not so much. I kept turning the thermostat on the heater up and up and still couldn’t get the room above 67 degrees. The downstairs bedroom was even worse. I reached out to Envi customer service, thinking the 1000 watt should easily be able to heat our bedroom on a forty some degree day. I figured we had a defective heater and would exchange it. Customer service was a joke, no troubleshooting or anything, just told me that the heater would not work for our space and that we must not have enough insulation. Huh? That was based off of no questions asked by support, so it seems they don’t have much faith in their products working. No help with a return or anything, luckily I purchased through Amazon. This morning is our first truly cold day, outside temperature in the twenties. The heater that seemed to be working well upstairs is struggling, thermostat set the highest, but room temperature is 63 this morning. Second bedroom temperature is 53, that heater is also set to the highest. I just went out to our garage to get our old space heaters. Returning all three Envi heaters.
