I used to put way to much mental energy into the directions of where I'm going on a trip. Phone holders were ok to have GPS up, but the battery goes dead and then your stuck. This giving constant power solves all those issues and makes for a more enjoyable ride. I bought other powered holders but not all have the flexibility of unplugging at the unit so that it can be cleanly removed when not in use. I also REALLY LOVE the short swivel base (sold separately) because it not only allows me to adjust the phone position, but it is a quick removal of the power unit without needing a tool on hand (see video) - in 10 seconds I can have the unit mounted or removed to lock it in my bags. I also like the power cable (sold separately) that allows you to set to on "auto" that automatically turns off the power when your bike is off and your battery gets to a certain point. You can turn the unit off with the switch on the unit, but if you forget, this power line is a nice backup. It's also nice that the unit has an LED indicator of whether it's on or off. Its just a really well built and well thought-out Product. In my comprehensive search, I did not find another one better for me.
