You can copy any files to the HDD or SSD in your computer directly Unless the files you want to transfer to the computer are encrypted, you should have no problem, since the password on the old drive is only for the Windows operating system to seek and unlock the computer for authorized users The password for the computer does not encrypt any the files on the computer. However, if the files ARE encrypted you will need to know the password for the encryption system used to open those files, and then, if you wish, you can re-encrypt them once the files have been transferred to the new computer.
