Will this fit?** A: It should. Our was a 4 inch hole & it fit. **Q: Can this be used to cover a hole in outside stucco?** A: Not unless you pull off the tabs and then glue it. It was made to work with drywall as it has tabs to fit inside the hole and grip on the 1/2" sides. Stucco wouldn't typically have a 1/2" side like drywall. So it's not really made for it. However, if you pulled the tabs off and glued you could make it cover the hole. There will also be a challenge with texture matching as well. **Q: Can you cut the opening with a 4inch hole saw?** A: A 4 inch hole saw should do the job just fine. I have a simple sheetrock saw that I used. **Q: Will this work on 5/8 thick drywall ceiling** A: Yes, will work on most thicknesses.
