I am using all cords that came with it and tried both usb slots** A: Don't see how wifi has to do with USB connections. You might just have a defective PS5. Contact Sony for support. It not the Hard drive. **Q: I'm having an issue with my wi-fi as soon as i plug the drive into ps5 using all supplied cables the wi-fi will stop working on the ps5** A: I hade this issue as well. But I chosen the work around of useing the network cable I never thought it could be that it was because of the ssd but then again it really started happening when I switched net providers so I chalked it up to bad wifi Antenna End the Wi-Fi router. **Q: Ps5 won't format ? What am I missing?** A: Look for your ps5 collection game library, all redownload again **Q: Will this work with ps4 pro?** A: Simply answer, yes. It's just a hard drive approved for PS5. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ AVOLUTION PRO-Z *by on Reviewed in the United States April 12, 2023* Got it today and after reading some negative reviews i am here to say that it works perfectly. Read the instructions before set up. It does what it says, i was able to move all my PS4 games and PS5. PS4 games work directly from the drive, is awesome. PS5 needs to be moved back, just like is advertised. Excellent product, the design is awesome and is very good quality. They send the box in is normal casing so it was not good, they need to package this item better, is worth it. I am very happy there is no clicking or noise like some comments claim, i think most did not read the manual included or just defective. Get it, is the best thing i got for my ps5 so far. If there is any changes, ill update this review. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Doesn’t work for PS5 - Updated all good now *by on Reviewed in the United States September 30, 2023* Left it in the box brand new for 2-3 months and when i finally moved to my new place, I connected it in all the ports and it didn’t even work for storage. The customer support is super helpful and sent me a new one due to the 2 year warranty it comes with. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yes *by on Reviewed in the United States June 24, 2023* I bought this it ended up coming late and very confusing shipping info. It works fine. I notice no clicking noises when the ps5 is in rest mode. One thing I did notice is it said ps5 can only download then and cannot play but you can transfer rather easily. My ps5 allows me to play them from the storage so I guess that’s a bonus. Not fully 8 Tb but that’s because my dumb self can’t read descriptions but I don’t think I can even fill it with the games I actually play. ## Frequently Bought Together - Avolusion PRO-Z Series 8TB USB 3.0 External Gaming Hard Drive for PS5 Game Console (White) (Renewed) - Megadream 6 Port USB Hub for PS5, High-Speed Expansion Hub Charger Splitter Adapter with 4 USB + 1 USB Charging + 1 Type C Port, Compatible with PlayStation 5 Console Front Jacks --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/397221257-pro-z-series-8tb-usb-3-0-external-gaming-hard](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/397221257-pro-z-series-8tb-usb-3-0-external-gaming-hard) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
