As a result of the firm hold, it also feels a bit crunchy - it is not a soft-hold product. Doesn't flake after drying and lasts all day. Does not melt into your face like American Crew with sweat or rain. If you apply water several hours later, the hold comes back about 80% of the way. Washes off hands very easily. After trying MANY different products, this is the best I've found for my hair. The next best thing would be Malin & Goetz, which is about 2x the price.
