My mistake for not reading thoroughly. It's designed for quick connection. I unscrewed the ends bought 2 brass mpt X compression and job fixed. BTW this was bought because I have a Samsung 4 year old expensive refrigerator that has built in filter fir ice and water that makes a terrible sound when water is dispersed. I troubleshot that to the filter and it's housing. Purchased an expensive oem replacement and it helped a little but found complaints about it online.
