It took a little muscle to put on, but I have no fear it will fall off. You may want to have a rubber mallet handy to give it a few taps. My only complaint is that it is much smaller than it looked in the picture. It was very tough to get it into the slot. Then, once I finally got it in there, Daylight savings time changed, so now I'm just gonna have it be an hour off cause its so tough to change the time. It looks great, and functions well. It was a bit smaller than I thought, and was just a huge pain-in-the-ass to get into the little slot. The face of the watch is separate from the part that mounts to your bike. The instructions are to put the base on your bike, then put the face in the base being careful not to press on the glass of the face. The face is secured by a rubber O ring. Problem is, with the O ring, the face simply does not fit in the base. By pressing on the side of the face, away from the glass, the glass on the face cracked anyway and the O ring is still visible between the face and the base. I think they're just buying cheap watch faces, and then manufacturing the base separately. The face has the knob to adjust the time sticking out of it and that's really what's preventing anything from fitting together properly.
