Maybe add some more spices?** A: I’ve used them for so many things. Grinding them and adding my own seasoning for a broth type soup works very well. I also add them to my meatloaf mixture to help absorb the liquids and add flavor as well as veggies, makes the meal quicker and more simple. If you don’t want to cook them, soak them overnight in cool water, they will absorb it and reconstitute that way. **Q: This looks like a blend very high in carrots. IS the blend a nice mix or is it high in carrots, and is this product organic?** A: Hello, I did not think the ratio of carrots was excessive. There tends to be a settling of parsley towards the final usage of the bag. It comes nicely sealed in a mylar bag which will store for a very long time. I transfer the bag we are using to a food grade, clear plastic container for visibility and ease of use. The flavor is a little less desirable than I would like. It is pretty good, although a tad "cardboard" like. I think that is just the effect of dehydrating vegetables. I cook a small portion of it in chicken broth or stock. It makes a lovely small cup of soup for late evening. It Cooks up nicely and stays just a little bit crunchy unless you let it soak a long time. I find it a good option for Subscribe and Save to keep the shelf stocked. I do find it to be a little pricey, but not to high priced to purchase. Of course, the price fluctuates.
