**Q: Can i cut tree branches?**
A: It's for home use. Mainly breaking whole coconuts, or using it inverted to cut and clean fish. My Grandma used to cut vegetables on that blade ... It will cut tree branches too but the blade quality will deteriorate. For cutting branches you need something shorter like an axe

**Q: How to clean of the rust and in the blade and the handle and what oil to apply for long life**
A: Never keep it wet for long . Apply any edible oil as it is not harmful if traces are left after cleaning ,  wrap a thick plastic paper around the blade tightly .
