## Description

Use the Shimoda Designs Small Core Unit for Mirrorless Camera to add modular camera storage to just about any bag or piece of luggage. This small unit will hold mirrorless or non-gripped DSLR cameras like the Fuji X-T4 and Sony a7 series but can accommodate a Canon 5D or similar size body. Interior measures 10.6 x 8.7 x 4.7" and holds a mirrorless or non-gripped DSLR camera up to 4.7" (12cm) tall with lenses as long as a 70-200mm f/2.8. EVA foam-laminated dividers protect equipment and prevent it from knocking together. Aluminum frame adds extra rigidity and supports Lightweight water-resistant multi-purpose skin wraps the foam & frame to keep dust and water out, or it can be removed and used as a packing cell—fill it with clothing or other items and pack it in your backpack or luggage. Orientate it vertically to integrate with the side access of the Explore v2 25 backpack, or horizontally to fit into every other Shimoda backpack and roller

- QUICK SIDE CAMERA ACCESS – When oriented vertically, the Small Mirrorless Core Unit integrates seamlessly with the side access of the Explore V2 25 backpack. When oriented horizontally, it will fit perfectly in every other Shimoda backpack and roller.
- MODULAR STACKING – The Small Mirrorless Core Unit can be placed above or below additional Core Units to modularly increase the equipment carrying volume of a pack.
- LIGHTWEIGHT WATER-RESISTANT & MULTI-PURPOSE SKIN – The included Skin’s primary function is a storage case for the padded Core Units, ideal for when your gear is at home and not in use. It keeps the Core Unit sealed and dust free. Its secondary function is to use as a packing cell. A user can fill it with clothing or other common items and pack it in their backpack or carry-on roller.

**Q: Will the medium dslr core fit the explorer v2 30?**
A: The V25 and V30 have a thinner profile than the V35 and can only fit the Small, Medium and Large Mirrorless Core unit.  The V35 is the only one that can fit the DSLR core units Sm, Med and Large

**Q: Does it fit in the x30?**
A: Yes, it does. With some room at the top of the pack for like another lens, lightweight thermal or snacks.

**Q: Will d780 with peak design clutch fit to medium mirrorless core unit v2?**
A: Only when swimming and using the shimoda backpack as a life preserver.

**Q: Will the medium ICU fit a 200-500 lens?**
A: While I can’t personally cannot give you the direct answer about if that lens fits, I can tell you that a 70-200mm fits in one horizontally.  Sorry I couldn’t be of more assistance to you.
