There was a handheld on the side and an overhead above, so I screwed these in and turned on the water. They hold really well without needing a wrench to tighten - avoid overtightening, they work fine just being hand-tight. And their outside diameter of about 1-1/8" works nicely with a 1-1/4" bit, although you can squeeze it in with a 1-1/8". But it's really tight. Really nice solution that sticks out pretty far so that you can complete all of the finish work prior to removal. Review: Worked great, read the whole thing - This did great. After I plumbed my whole bathroom with pex I used this to test for leaks. I left the shower handle on for about a week to make sure I had no issues. When I turned the shower handle off and removed this plug I had an issue. For whatever reason both connections at the shower manifold started leaking. I was able to stop it by tightening the fittings, but I never would have guessed with the shower handle closed the manifold would leak after a week of being on. ## Features - SHOWER TEST PLUG: Bathroom shower test plug is designed for shower head and tub installations; plug seals the system for pressure testing and is left in place until drywall or tile can be installed - EASY TO INSTALL: No tools, crimping, or soldering is necessary to install the shower test plug - REUSABLE: Can be removed and reused for other installations **Test plug should be removed prior to installing shower kit** - EFFICIENT: Quick installation time allows for ease of use and reduces the risk of errors - DURABLE: Shower test plug composed of strong and sturdy plastic material ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B098B142Z9 | | Best Sellers Rank | #15,732 in Industrial & Scientific ( See Top 100 in Industrial & Scientific ) #377 in Pipe Fittings | | Brand | SharkBite | | Brand Name | SharkBite | | Color | 25828z | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 400 Reviews | | Included Components | Shower Test Plug | | Item Type Name | 1/2 Inch MNPT Bathroom Shower Test Plug, 25828Z | | Manufacturer | Cash Acme | | Manufacturer Part Number | 25828Z | | Material | Plastic | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model Number | Test Plug | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | UPC | 697285258280 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** SharkBite - **Color:** 25828z - **Material:** Plastic - **Number of Items:** 1 - **UPC:** 697285258280 ## Images ![Sharkbite 1/2 Inch MNPT Bathroom Shower Test Plug, 25828Z - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51g39sTfEsL.jpg) ![Sharkbite 1/2 Inch MNPT Bathroom Shower Test Plug, 25828Z - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71ILz9WgycL.jpg) ![Sharkbite 1/2 Inch MNPT Bathroom Shower Test Plug, 25828Z - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71yf8BhLbvL.jpg) ![Sharkbite 1/2 Inch MNPT Bathroom Shower Test Plug, 25828Z - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/710nPVOabSL.jpg) ![Sharkbite 1/2 Inch MNPT Bathroom Shower Test Plug, 25828Z - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81hJ+qP9-iL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I have two of them in right now *by B***Y on May 16, 2026* Needed to get a pressure test and check for leaks in a shower install.
