This is now the 3rd one I've owned. The first one, our 10 year old daughter chewed a hole in and we lost some of the little foam beads inside. We did sew it back up but bought another one because we liked it better with more beading. They do loosen up a bit over time but they do conform great around the neck. I use it in bed to help prop my head while I read. I find myself sleeping almost exclusively on it as it does cradle the neck better than other types of pillows. I also use them between my knees when I sleep on my side. This one was hard as a rock! It wouldn't even fold, which was what I liked about it. So, I opened it up, took out about a cup of the beads & put them in my old pillow, then sewed them both up again. Now my old pillow isn't as squishy, & this one is manageable! Problem solved.
