## Description

ITC-296A is a proven ceramic top coating for application over ITC-100HT in furnace, kiln, and forge refractory linings or ITC-213 on metal . This fine particle size finishing layer fully seals the ITC-100HT coating and adds additional corrosion and radiant heat reflection property. ITC has a 30 year plus track record of proven performance as a company. The proprietary blend of ceramics in the coating absorbs and re-reflects the radiant heat into the hot zone evening out temperature profiles and reducing the energy needed to achieve the target temperature by 5-15%. By reducing the overall temperature of the insulation package and preventing corrosive gasses from reaching refractory materials, the life of ceramic insulation, fire brick, modules, board, and shelves is extended. ITC's 213 metal coating will protect and extend heating element and shell life as well. ITC-148 and 200EZ are fillers for large cracked areas. Do not use as a stand alone product. Must be used over ITC-100HT (for refractory) and ITC-213 for metal. Application: The product comes in a concentrate. Add 1 part distilled water and 2 parts concentrated product and mix well. Only prepare enough for the job. Mix during application to keep fine particles well suspended. Surfaces must be clean and free of dust. Apply with a brush or a sprayer. 1/8" to 1/16" coatings work best. Thinner is better. Allow to air dry overnight. Fire to 600F using a slow ramp cycle. Cool. You are ready to go. Please note the operation of any enclosed furnaces must be re-programmed to prevent over-firing after coating.
