It saved about a $3000 engine repair (just guessing). The tool was perfect to use. It is a thread chaser not a thread tap. It cleaned the thread perfectly in accordance with the instructions. You need to use it with caution and have a lot of patience. For me I used a cotton swab first prior to using the tool as 90% of the metal shavings were imbedded in the swab and removed from the thread hole. Then I used the tool as directed 7 times to clean the threads. It worked great. Inserted the spark plug by hand then used the torque wrench to tighten the plug. Great tool and a life saver. Review: It worked - Kit is flimsey but did repair my 8hp snowblower head .
