My son received this set for Christmas ( he is 6) and it exceeded his expectations!The directions were easy to follow and the pieces fit together well. The set is sturdy and he is able to play with it- it doesn’t mot just sit there.The set is also bigger than I thought it would be, with more components( a working pulley, a cage, and multiple levels)than I realized!

The media could not be loaded.  Get a few things out of the way. This is the same size as the most popular brand of building block sets! The stickers are aligned to fit perfectly onto the pieces. The instruction booklet is perfect and doesn’t leave anything out. I had 6 small pieces left over from my build just like you would expect. It does not come with minifigures but does have little chickens, fruit and a fish.The only thing I can say adversely is that there are two parts of this set that could really use some reinforcing. One part is on the main deck of the building and that other is on the second story of the building. (I show this in the video I post take a look at it!)I HIGHLY recommend you save some bucks and buy this for yourself or that someone you know that loves building block sets.

Overall I enjoyed my time building this set. I'm a big Lego fan, but have been checking out these types of alternatives lately. It started mostly as curiosity, but I've been pleasantly surprised by most of them so far.This set is a pretty good value, and the quality is decent. The pieces fit together well, but the consistency isn't quite as good as Lego. What I mean is that some pieces may fit together easily while another of the same piece type might take a lot of force and coercion.I'm tempted to deduct another star because of how terrible the stickers are, and how awful their usage is. I will likely remove them, but they have you put them across multiple bricks and that's painful. They kind of look like scotch tape that's been printed on, and they will definitely pick up your fingerprints.There are a good number of details, but the scale is a bit small so a standard minifig doesn't fit in most of the areas. However there is a large amount of space on the outdoor area of the model to place figures, and it would look nice along a pier/beach setup.The manual is high quality as far as construction and paper used; it's basically the same as you'd get from Lego. However, the colors are a bit dark and you have to be pretty observant to make sure you're using the correct piece.My set ended up having 2 wedges that were the wrong color, but I had spares of the correct pieces that I could use. Additionally there was 1 piece that was missing entirely, and thankfully I had that one on hand as well. If you aren't an avid Lego builder and don't have some parts handy, you might run into an issue.Others have mentioned difficulty locating pieces, but if you take a few mins to organize them beforehand it's pretty straightforward.As I said, I think this set is worth the buy if you know what you're getting and especially if you have some extra pieces around.

My son, almost 8 had a great time building this. It takes time and patience. He probably spent 8 hours, partly because he dropped it and had to start over at one point. But it’s a great product. Excellent price. It super sturdy so just handle with care.

I got this for my 8 year old because he absolutely adores working on Legos. When I got this for him, he was ecstatic. It took him around 3 days to put all of this together, and he is so happy. I get such sets for him because it keeps him busy, and also is great for development. The quality on these is great, and the end result looked amazing.

This is a knock off Lego company that did an outstanding job! The packaging was masterful, instruction booklet easy to read and use and all the pieces were included. We were very pleased and it makes an awesome toy upon building it!

Normally my son can build Lego sets on his own, and we thought we’d give this brand a try since it was on sale. My husband ended up building it, but there is a missing piece or two, the manual is harder to follow and the pieces don’t fit together super well. Will not order from this brand again.

Kids are home for the week on a short break. Order this and a couple other pirate themed sets with the same branding. The difficulty rating/recommendation is spot on. The 8 yr old is able to work his set with very minimal assistance. The five year old needed some hands on help. The directions are relatively easy to follow. These blocks interchange with popular name brand and the kits were SO much more reasonable on price point. I would certainly buy this and other kits again.
