**Q: If I put it near freezer fan output alarm goes off. Is this bad? Or moisture? even though it feels dry it says online acs produce moisture somehow.**
A: No

**Q: does this device require dye in the freon to work?**
A: No. It detects the presence of refrigerant gas to signal a leak. Dye is just another way to find a leak as well as soapy water.

**Q: When I'm using UV do I need special glasses?**
A: Amber/Yellow glasses helped me a lot.  I had a uv flashlight that lit up brighter than this.  Since I was working on a system that had been repaired multiple times, there was uv dye from previous leaks.  This is where the "sniffer" part helped.  It has been a long time since I last used it, but it did work well.

**Q: I want to know if this detector can work in the dark place?**
A: Yes.  It has a light on it
