The thing I was most strongly cautioned about was to make sure I always have ear plugs in when showering. the doc told me the biggest issue adults have with tubes is getting water in the ears. I had some foam plugs but I discovered that they absorb water! Not right at all for the kind of protection I needed. I found these and tried then and have been very happy. They don't insert INTO the ear canal, just seal into the ear opening. The instructions say they are good for five uses and I'd agree. After five uses they didn't stay in place and seal well enough.Put them into place and gget a good seal then when you take them out put them back onto the plastic case. After five uses throw them out and start a new set.They do reduce a substantial amount of noise and, if pressed into place correctly and carefully, keep water out of the ear canal.
