This makes the softbox impossible to assemble. It cannot be used without one. I had several back and forth e-mails with Adorama. Ultimately, they said it is not included, regardless of what the photo showed. They were nice enough to let me know I could purchase the mount at an additional cost. I returned it and am done with Adorama.
