I followed the instructions as written and my controller (z-wave dongle + Home Assistant OS) was able to easily connect to and configure the switch. The sensing capability is strong enough to sense a person from far away, but smart enough to not be activated for a small cat.The switch is able to be configured manually through button press sequences or (my preferred method) configured remotely via Home Assistant. These switches and dimmers are expensive, but they work well, and are quite convenient & versatile. Usually I configure them to operate either as "vacancy" or "occupancy" switch with a timer, so light will automatically turn off after a period of time if nobody is in the room. This functionality works stand-alone, independent from Z-wave hub, and is useful by itself.At the same time Z-wave hookup to a hub enables much more advanced capabilities, e.g. you can remotely turn lights on/off based on scenarios. Also, because these Enbrighten switches/dimmers have PIR motion sensor, they effectively double as a security sensor - allowing you to detect if there was motion in the room.In my experience these Enbrighten motion switches/dimmers are highly reliable and there are no issues with Z-wave instability or glitches, as it happens with some other Z-wave devices.Price is quite high and was steadily increasing over the last 5 years, but in my opinion it is still worthwhile the price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Works well, would recomend if a motion switch is needed. *by P***S on Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2018* I recently took the leap into starting my smart home. I purchased a few switches and thought I would leave a review that other might find helpful as a first-time setup.Below are a few details about my current configuration with the GE 26933 Motion Switch.Setup:I am using 4 of the Cree 9.5W Dimmable LEDsCree 65W Equivalent Soft White (2700K) 9.5W BR30 9W Dimmable LED Flood Light Bulb (4-Pack)For a total load of about 47.5w on the switch.One note about the bulbs (not necessarily about the switch) is the fact that there is a slight buzzing noise, but only while in a dimmed state.PRO:• Smooth Dimming• Silent operation (no noise turning on or off)• 4x configurable associations• Motion sensing• Never worry about turn off (if you have the motion sensing activated, you never have to worry about shutting the switch off.)CONS:• Very large body (This switch takes up a lot of space in the junction box, make sure you have enough room)• No settable minimum brightness (some of the Lutron switches have a configurable minimum for LEDs)• Minimum brightness is not the same as other GE Z-Wave switches such as the GE 14294. Minimum on the GE 26933 is roughly what 30% would be on the GE 14294. The GE 14294 will go completely dark if dimmed all the way and will appear “off”.• If the switch is turned on by motion, it never appears to turn off in the Hub. It is as if the switch “dims” to 0% (not a big deal, but it does show the Hub that it is on)• I had difficulties trying to change the motion settings using the buttons as the manual describes.• No supplied cover.
