For a man-made pair of boots, I have to give these 4 stars. I just received them last week and have only worn them twice (once out to dinner and then again for Thanksgiving dinner with my family) neither time did I do very much walking in them basically to & from my car and the restaurant door & then to my family's door and off they came at the door. The style is very nice as is the fit and feel of them but the coloring on the soles has already begun to wear off after only two short outings (the reason for 4 stars instead of 5). I've spent over 15 years in the shoe repair business and know shoe & boots pretty much inside-out so I know what I am getting when I purchase a less expensive pair of shoes/boots...pretty much what you pay for. You might think it's kind of petty complaining about the coloring wearing off on the bottoms of the boots but this leaves an almost white bottom with patches of brown, it seems as if the coloring is about as thick as a magic marker would be so unless I can find a brown magic marker to keep recoloring the bottoms I better hope I can sit without crossing my legs so nobody can see how hideous the bottoms are beginning to look already.As I said, it's only been a week so I'll give an updated report as time goes on and I've had a chance to wear them more...it's kind of a shame because I really liked this brand when I saw their boot designs and was looking forward to ordering more colors in them plus maybe a pair of their pull-on boots, but I doubt if I will if the bottoms are going to most likely have the same problem. Please note that the photos of the soles are taken after only wearing twice with minimal walking. This is the only problem I've found with these boots (so far) since I've had them less than two weeks...maybe not a big deal to most people but I think it takes a lot away from the looks of the boots (especially if you sit down and cross your leg) otherwise I'd be very tempted to purchase more of this brand.

Updated 2019-06-28 had to purchase new insoles for these, as the included ones wore out to the point where there wasn't much padding left, minimal upgrade for $12.. Also found a way with the shoelaces not needing to be tied every day, by using the zipper and sliding in/out while keeping the shoe tied.More wear showing around the heels and on the toe, but still continue to get compliments to this day!Updated 2018-06-11 seller has refunded $10 cost for new laces per the review. Upping the review to a 4* just because of the little details. Great CS, would definitely recommend.Order a half size down if you like a snug shoe, otherwise get your normal shoe size and you will be happy.Have both brown and black, they are quite comfortable for what you get for $40! !What you won't be happy with is the quality of the "wax" shoelaces. These things are junk and mine needed to be replaced immediately after 3 wears, as they frey'd already on both of my pairs of boots. Also a shoelace rivet has fallen out my brown pair after about 3 weeks of wear.Would be 4-5 stars if I didn't have to buy $10 shoelaces to make sure they last at least a quarter of the life as the shoes will

I love the styling of these boots with the laces on the front but the hidden zipper making putting them on a breeze. Well constructed of good materials. They are slightly narrow for me, so I recommend buying a size up from your normal size if you have wider feet.As a 20 year member of Amazon I rely on independent reviews when shopping. Let me make something clear: these shoes are CHEAP. I don't expect them to last a season. Then why the 5 stars? Because as cheap as they are, they're also BEAUTIFUL! They feel cheap but look expensive. They look just as in the pictures, if not better. Everyone compliments them and asks me where I got them. One guy told me if they didn't have shoes for men at the store, but it was clearly out of jealousy (his girl complimented them lol). Another guy laughed and said I looked like a Cuban narc, whatever that means lol Also clearly jelly cuz he looked like he dressed in the dark lmaoAs to how they feel, they're not too uncomfortable but, like I said, they feel cheap and are nowhere near the amount of comfort and support a proper pair will give you, but for under 50 these should be a no brainer! Get them. You won't regret it. And if you have wide feet like I do, ignore the "order a size smaller please" disclaimer; I'm glad I did. Ordered my regular size and after a couple hours of disconfort they gave in and now fit perfectly. Finally, whoever touches them will immediately know they are cheap Chinese shoes. The material is made to look like leather but feels and smell nothing like it. This isnt even faux leather quality lolAh, almost forgot. Whoever decided to stamp "Ferro Aldo" on the soles has all my despise sent his way. The brand name sounds like an Aldo knockoff, obviously.

These shoes are nice and comfortable, and look very nice. Would definitely recommend buying it.
