We have seven cats, no carpets, a robotic vacuum and a robotic litterbox (much easier to have seven cats with these items in place). And the litterbox had an accessory that we purchased to help contain litter from getting on the floor outside of the litterbox. Unfortunately it wasn't as effective as we had hoped. We had "litterbox mats" and those were OK, but the cat litter mat / trappers are AMAZING. And they look cool. Well worth it. Easy to clean, very effective. I accidentally walked across it barefoot the other night and didn't have cat litter stuck to my feet (I know, gross, but it was dark...). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for obstinate feline housemates *by T***V on Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2017* I've spoken with our cats multiple times about tracking their litter outside of their pan to no avail. They insist that using a broom and dustpan require an opposable thumb. I'm not so sure because they spend a lot of time laying around being lazy. So, I purchased this mat and it traps litter and is easy to clean. I would absolutely recommend it to friends and family with similarly obstinate feline housemates. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ BEST. LITTERMAT. EVER. *by T***H on Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2017* WE have a household of 4 cats and 5 litter boxes which are cleaned daily. One of the feline members of the family is a particularly enthusiastic digger and the litter gets everywhere. This is the first mat that really WORKS! The mat is two layers, the top layer has holes through which the litter particles fall. You can actually walk on this mat barefoot without hurting your feet!. It is easy to lift the upper layer, and either lift the mat and deposit the litter back in the box, or sweep it into a pile and use a dustpan. We had previously used the mats that look like thin plastic spaghetti all twirled around, and while those DO catch litter, good luck with getting the litter OUT of them. It is very difficult to shake it out, and being a clumping litter user, I once made the mistake of taking the mats outside and attempting to hose them down. DON'T DO IT!! That just causes the litter to absorb water and clump and you will never never never get rid of it. You can actually wash these mats if need be! I HIGHLY recommend them. Don't be discouraged by the price, they are worth it.
