My CP9680 will read my VIN but then it fails to identify that I have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. This is a fairly big problem because the Codeconnect and code criteria features described in the users guide need to properly identify the vehicle to work. I am forced to select the “Generic OBDII vehicle” from the menu and I can only see default codes. **Q: Is this able to Clear Airbag codes?** A: Yes, the Actron CP9680 can read and clear airbag codes as well as provide code definitions for most 1996-2013 GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and Hyundai cars and light trucks. **Q: Would this scan the air bag light on a 2007 Cadillac Escalade** A: If the Escalade's 8th digit of VIN is 8, the tool can read and erase engine, transmission, ABS as well as reset oil light.
