I imagine if I were to be hanging some high end gear up, I'd look into the expensive clamps. One use case I had was to mount this clamp to the crossbar luggage rack on my SUV, and mounting a GoPro to it. No problems were detected, withs speeds of 40 to 45 miles per hour, for about 40 miles. I did remove the pin that retains the 3/8" side-no need for it for my application. I worked in manufacturing for decades and I struggle to understand how products of this quality level can be sold at this price.
