Review: Excellent shelf - This shelf is excellent in the two areas that matter most: ease of assembly and sturdiness once assembled. Especially because I'm fine building my own stuff, but wary of building others'. Thankfully, this was a very clear, easy assembly, and it looks quite nice after you do so, such that I'll be buying more of these to addd on to the one I just built.
Review: Not easy assembly - Do need tools, dowels break! - dowels either broke or were too long/didn't fit into the holes and ended up breaking the boards. no extra pieces included. Says no tools but you do need a mallet. Trying to request extra pieces was a nightmare so gave up and am trying to use glue. Would not recommend!

**Q: Can this be used horizontally instead of vertically?**
A: Yes! My girlfriend and I have it lying down horizontally with another set of cubes stacked on top of it. Works great to organize gaming consoles and keeps a tv steady

**Q: Can I put another 3 shelf on top of the first one**
A: I wouldn't recommend it. The back is cardboard so it is not really able to be secured to the wall.... it is not a very sturdy item.

**Q: Could you flip this so it was actually standing on the base? That way you could change which side had 3 shelves & which had 4?**
A: Absolutely. You can have any of the four sides be the base.We put it on it's side with the four cubes on the bottom.  Works great and easy to put together

**Q: Can  this used horizontally with the short shelves removed?**
A: I have the 11 shelf one without two of the short shelves on the bottom and it is pretty sturdy.
