LOL. That is quite true, thought the same when I bought first time - is it 1.5 or isn't it? Rolled the dice, and was pleased. When you get them the box comes marked 1.35 mil, so not sure why they don't sell them like that. But they are a decent, sturdy bag that holds a lot. We are pretty concerned with tearing in my office - that it should not happen when left curbside, and being able to hold a good load of heavy-ish trash, and we were satisfied with these for the price, they are a substantial bag. Not the thickest, but definitely not like some of the thing garbage (no pun intended) you get a the lower price, that tears real easy. Hope that helps.
