This is twice expensive...** A: Jinhyuk,No doubt about it, Roo Glue is by far the better choice for gluing Melamine. It is simply stronger. Let me share my experience.I first used Roo Glue to build some melamine cabinets about 15 years ago. It worked very well and I had no problems, although it's better to wipe off the squeeze out before it dries. Denatured alcohol can remove dried glue but it takes a lot of elbow grease.Even though the supposed shelf life of Roo Glue is about a year, I had a small amount of the glue left in the bottle so I saved it. About 5 years ago I needed to build some more melamine cabinets and saw that Titebond made a melamine glue. I've been very pleased with Titebond wood glue so I though I'd give the Titebond melamine glue a try. I noticed that it didn't seem to adhere very well to either the melamine coating or the vinyl "melamine" surface that is typically used with 1/4" panels. The cabinets came out okay, but I knew the joints weren't as robust of the previous cabinets I built using Roo Glue.Move forward to the present day. I needed to build some more melamine cabinets this year. Remembering my past experience with Roo Glue versus Titebond melamine glue I decided to do a little test. I made two test blocks, one bonded the vinyl surface of two small 1/4" pieces against the raw particleboard edge of a melamine piece and the other bonded the melamine surface of two small melamine pieces against the raw particleboard edge of another melamine piece, both simulating typical joints, cabinet back and cabinet side. I used the 15 year old Roo Glue on two pieces and the 5 year old Titebond on the other two pieces. I waited 24 hours for both glues to fully cure. I then applied hand pressure in an attempt to break the joints. The Titebond joints broke readily with relatively light pressure, while the Roo Glue joints did not break even under firm pressure.Bottom line, if you are building with melamine and want solid joints, use Roo Glue, it is superior. The downside is that it isn't readily available (e.g. home centers or hardware stores). **Q: Can this Melamine glue be used to bond wood to wood?** A: Yes it can be used for bonding wood to wood. However, one of the properties that makes this work with melamine is that it's slightly flexible and tacky after it dries. So if your joint doesn't require sanding and finishing this glue would work. Btw, it dries very clear which is nice. **Q: Will roo glue stick to hdpe?** A: only slightly **Q: Is this product the same as what your gallon is post on Amazon the bottles look different?** A: Sorry, but I only bought the 16 oz size, and did not even notice if there was a gallon size.
