Review: Tiffen 67UVP 67mm UV Protection Filter: A Great Choice for Lens Protection - I've been using the Tiffen 67UVP 67mm UV Protection Filter for a few months now, and I'm really impressed with it. Here's why I think it's a great choice for anyone looking for a lens protector: Protection First and Foremost The primary function of a UV filter is to shield your valuable camera lens from scratches, dust, and fingerprints. The Tiffen 67UVP does this admirably. It's well-built with a scratch-resistant surface and a tight-fitting metal ring that minimizes the chance of the filter falling off accidentally. Double Duty: UV Protection and Clear Images While the UV protection is a bonus, the filter doesn't affect the image quality in any noticeable way. There's no color cast or softening, and it doesn't introduce any vignetting (dark corners) even on wide-angle lenses. This makes it a great option for keeping on your lens at all times for peace of mind. Affordable Protection Tiffen UV filters are known for being well-priced, and the 67UVP is no exception. For around $10 to $20, you're getting a high-quality filter from a reputable brand that will last for years. Overall, I highly recommend the Tiffen 67UVP 67mm UV Protection Filter. It's an affordable way to safeguard your investment and keep your lens looking its best. Here are some additional points to consider: Some photographers argue that UV filters can very slightly reduce image quality. In my experience, this is negligible and far outweighed by the protection benefits. If you're mostly shooting indoors or in good lighting conditions, a UV filter may not be necessary. However, it's still a good idea to have one on hand for situations where dust or scratches are a concern. Review: Great quality Filter to protect lens πŸ”₯ - Great UV filter / Lens protection! Just got this small 28mm lens for my trip and needed something to protect it. For you price you can’t beat it ! Found just what I needed ! -Thick and very clear, great quality feeling -Packaging: perfect! Small compact and protective -Fitment: Perfect fit screwed in on first try very easy to install. ## Features - Protective 62mm UV filter: Guards your camera lens from scratches, dust, moisture, and impacts while maintaining full image clarity during everyday shooting. Especially useful for high altitude and outdoor photography where the sun's UV rays are especially prominent. - Made from Premium Optical Glass: High-quality optical glass ensures excellent clarity, durability, and consistent performance for professional and enthusiast photographers alike - Slim Aluminum Filter Ring: Low-profile frame prevents vignetting, even when used on wide-angle lenses all the while remaining lightweight and secure to your lens. - Clear Color-neutral Performance: Ideal for continuous use as a protective filter without affecting exposure, contrast, or color balance. You can add another filter on top without worrying about any loss in image quality. - Confident Compatibility : Before adding to cart, confirm your lens thread size by checking the front rim of your camera lens for the β€œΓ˜β€ symbol followed by a millimeter measurement, such as Ø58mm. Make sure you are checking the filter mm size, not the lens focal length, as not all modern lenses display the filter symbol Ø size on the lens. Select the filter with the same mm size as the lens filter mm size to ensure the proper fit to your lens. - 62 millimeters diameter ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00004ZCJJ | | Best Sellers Rank | #2 in Camera Lens Sky & UV Filters | | Brand | Tiffen | | Built-In Media | Camera lens filter | | Coating Description | No Coating | | Color | Clear | | Compatible Devices | Cameras with 62mm filter thread size | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 23,448 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Aluminum, Optical Glass | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00049383099423 | | Item Dimensions L x W | 4.4"L x 3.3"W | | Item Highlight | Ultra Slim Lens filter Clear Optical Glass Reduces the Bluish cast of Daylight Reduces UV light transmission | | Item Weight | 30 g | | Manufacturer | Tiffen | | Manufacturer Part Number | 62UVP | | Material | Aluminum, Optical Glass | | Media Type | ProductImage | | Model Name | TIF62UVP | | Model Number | 62UVP | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Photo Filter Effect Type | Ultraviolet | | Photo Filter Factor | 1 x | | Photo Filter Size | 6.2 centimeters | | Photo Filter Thread Size | 6.2 centimeters | | Set Name | UV Protection Filter (1 Piece) | | Special Effect | Ultraviolet | | Thread Size | 6.2 centimeters | | UPC | 049383099423 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 10 Year Manufacturer | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Tiffen - **Coating Description:** No Coating - **Material:** Aluminum, Optical Glass - **Photo Filter Effect Type:** Ultraviolet - **Photo Filter Factor:** 1 x - **Photo Filter Size:** 6.2 centimeters - **Photo Filter Thread Size:** 6.2 centimeters - **Product Dimensions:** 4.4"L x 3.3"W - **UPC:** 049383099423 - **Water Resistance Level:** Water Resistant ## Images ![Tiffen 62mm UV Protector Filter 62mm Lens Filter Impact & Scratch Resistant - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81073dSI+NL.jpg) ![Tiffen 62mm UV Protector Filter 62mm Lens Filter Impact & Scratch Resistant - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61eGPWU68eL.jpg) ![Tiffen 62mm UV Protector Filter 62mm Lens Filter Impact & Scratch Resistant - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/8129+978UhL.jpg) ![Tiffen 62mm UV Protector Filter 62mm Lens Filter Impact & Scratch Resistant - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/613bMvM364L.jpg) ![Tiffen 62mm UV Protector Filter 62mm Lens Filter Impact & Scratch Resistant - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/513oGEGhRLL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Configuration, Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tiffen 67UVP 67mm UV Protection Filter: A Great Choice for Lens Protection *by P***M on April 5, 2024* I've been using the Tiffen 67UVP 67mm UV Protection Filter for a few months now, and I'm really impressed with it.
